Bad Crafting Day

This was the crafting day from hell!  First of all, I was supposed to be going to the grocery store and somehow ended up across the street at Pat Catan's, my favorite craft store. I was only going to pick up some white cardstock for a card swap that I need to have in the mail by tomorrow. Low and behold, I come out with a small bag of items that totaled $30. :-( Definitely was not in my plans or the budget!

But Spellbinder's oval scallops dies could not be left behind, especially when they were on sale for $9.95 and I always wanted that set. And there was also the Cuttlebug embossing folder for $2 that found it's way in my bag. (Would not have been a bad thing had I not come home and discovered I already owned "Perfectly Paisley.")  Now, how 10 sheets of cardstock and a hand full of bling added up to $29.73, I may never know.  Math was never a strong suit.

So later that evening, I sit down to get my assembly line of cards together and I am cranking out embossed backgrounds for the first set of cards. My Big Kick is sounding a little funny but I keep cranking.....until the handle broke off in my hand!  Really?  How many times have you heard of that happening?

Devastated! I only had 4 cards left and I would have been finished! So I pick up my broken machine and take to CJ. He gives me about a minutes worth of pity and went back to watching Michael Vick and the Eagles. Really?  Didn't he realize the crisis I had here?

When he realized that me and my little problem weren't going away any time soon, and definitely not while the football game was on, he took my Big Kick, went into his Cave and came back out with this...

Lol! At this point, I was game to try anything!  And my poor machine, as ugly as it looks, worked like a charm!  I was able to crank out 4 last cards and life was good again!

My card for the swap!
